The Green Army get their 2024/25 campaign started tomorrow with a trip to face Smethwick Rangers at the Boldmere Community Stadium.
With the 23/24 season firmly in the past, Coton can look back on an impressive turnaround following the reappointment of Nic Oakley as Manager, losing only 1 game in 18 under his second tenure at the club.
The fate of the club could have been much different had they not acted swiftly to bring back the man who is officially the clubs most successful manager in terms of win percentage, with the results coming instantly after he took over the helm.
That momentum has firmly continued into the 24/25 season with Oakley doing his transfer business early enabling the squad to gel and grow throughout the pre-season period. The sights are set on a more successful league campaign this year, which kicks off with an away fixture against another much improved team in Smethwick.
With pre-season results meaning very little, Coton can be buoyed and confident about the performances which have carried them through their season preparations, impressing more during each outing and seeing the squad grow as a unit.
